Hello friends, followers, and newcomers! I’m Kirsten and you may know me from my other blog, Video Games as Literature. If you’ve been following my work and social media for a while, you probably know that I am an author and naturalist/nature photographer, but a blog about video games doesn’t really encompass these fields of interest. As such I have decided to create a second blog where I can talk about books, post my nature photography, and share my stories from my adventures in the wilderness. Since I live in a small, book-filled cottage in the Appalachian Mountains I landed on the title My Forest Library. To see photos that I’ve already posted, feel free to browse my Instagram and Flickr accounts. The photo currently on the home page of this website is an Anhinga that I encountered during a trip to Merritt Island, FL in 2016. The camera I used was a Canon Rebel T3i. During the same trip, I also photographed a stunning turkey vulture, seen below:
